If you’re thinking this book sounds familiar to you, it might if you’ve read the Danger and Desire Anthology released last year (a limited time release) compiled of great stories by some amazing authors. If you missed the anthology then you get an awesome book in its’ entirety and if you did, well you should still give this version of Scout a read because you’ll truly be missing out if you pass it by. This version, the extended version, includes so much more awesomeness than the condensed version in D&D. Seriously, you’re missing out if you don’t grab this book! A little added incentive; if you’ve followed the Linear Tactical series then you are aware of the extended epilogues that Janie has added to the end of some of the books in the series. Well, for Scout you get 3 of them and they are fabulous! Definitely not to miss!Wyatt is a great alpha hero with a sweet caring side and Nadine is an amazingly strong heroine who works hard to conquer her ghosts so she can move forward and be happy. They make a beautiful couple and a great team. He’s fierce and protective and she’s brave and determined. Scout is a fantastic addition to the Linear Tactical series.We first meet Nadine in Survival Instinct; she’s the main character’s (Chloe’s) best friend since childhood and right hand person at their work. Nadine suffers some serious emotional, mental, and physical trauma that makes her question everything and basically sends her into hiding. And because of their emotionally and physically wounded pasts, they are able to heal, move forward, and live a life feel of fear and full of love.I don’t want to give away too much because I believe you should read this book yourself, but I loved the ending and the 3rd epilogue so much! I need Blaze’s book to come out ASAP so I can get more of all that!!!!! Major emotional book hangover over here after reading that epilogue!!!Even though Scout can be read as a standalone book, I highly suggest reading the whole Linear Tactical Series. Cyclone is the first book in the series and trust me, you will not regret reading them! I have re-read the series at least 3 times now and they never get old! I am a little sad that the series is coming to an end, but I am so excited about the new series, Zodiac Tactical.Thank you, Janie for writing another amazing book with incredible characters that I love so much!
